Château Les Ormes de Pez

2001

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

The origins of Château Les Ormes de Pez date back to the middle of the 18th century. Located on the edge of the hamlet of Pez, west of the town of Saint-Estèphe, the estate owes its name to a magnificent grove of elms, now gone. With the Château Lynch-Bages in 1939, this is the second property acquired by the Cazes family in the 1930s.

Château Les Ormes de Pez was designated Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel during the revision of the classification of Crus Bourgeois in June 2003.

A deep garnet color. Racy attack, this 2001 vintage unfolds on aromas of cherries and black fruits. Beautiful volume, tannins well present and coated. The finish is carried by the freshness characteristic of the vintage. This wine proves to be gourmet where the blend is harmoniously balanced between Cabernet and Merlot.
