The origins of Château Ormes de Pez date back to the middle of the 18th century. Located on the outskirts of the hamlet of Pez, west of the town of Saint-Estèphe, the estate owes its name to a magnificent grove of elms, now disappeared. With the Château Lynch-Bages in 1939, it is the second property acquired by the Cazes family in the 1930s.
Authentic expression of its terroir, this 1993 vintage is a harmonious, spicy and racy wine. It seduces with its opulence and roundness. It is a fleshy wine with powerful tannins and a smooth finish.
