Saint Julien Grand Cru Classé

Château Léoville Barton

2002

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

A true emblem of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Léoville Barton represents the quintessence of the Médoc with wines that shine by their consistency and class, seducing the most demanding Bordeaux lovers. This 2nd Grand Cru Classé in 1855 illustrates the passion of the Barton family who dedicated themselves with energy and ambition to make this superb property on the Rive Gauche a jewel of the Saint-Julien appellation.

Since 1985, the Château Léoville Barton has been flying from success to success under the inspired baton of Anthony Barton and, since 1998, these successes have turned into a triumph because it systematically rises to the highest level of the great Bordeaux wines.

This 2002 vintage with its dense and purple color reveals magnificent suave notes of coal, fresh mushrooms, smoke, earth, leather, blackcurrant and cedar. Full-bodied, very concentrated, intensely closed, dense and deep, this remarkably endowed cuvée is designed to last for a long time.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Léoville Barton 2002 rated 92/100.
