Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé

Château L’Arrosée

2011

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Historically, the Château L’Arrosée has this name in reference to the presence of an underground spring. Neighbor of the Château Ausone, the vineyard is located on the southern hillsides of Saint-Emilion. It is fortunate to benefit from its location of maximum sunshine, which promotes the maturity of crops.

Racy and distinctive, typical of the appellation, the wines of Château L’Arrosée combine power and finesse. Of great regularity for more than 20 years, the wines of the castle have known a new renaissance with the arrival of the family Caille, at the head of the domain since 2003. The estate, raised to the highest level, was sold in October 2013 to the group Clarence Dillon, owner of Châteaux Haut Brion, La Mission Haut Brion and, in Saint-Emilion, Château Quintus. The vineyard of the latter has since been united with that of Château L’Arrosée.

This 2011 vintage is renowned for its elegance, complexity and aging capacity. It reveals subtle aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants, spices and woody notes, with a silky tannic structure that ensures great harmony on the palate.
