The story of Langoa Barton is inseparable from that of Léoville Barton. And for good reason, Hugh Barton first bought the Langoa estate before acquiring a part of the Léoville estate. Even today, these two famous wines of Saint-Julien belong to the Barton-Sartorius family. Château Langoa Barton and Château Léoville Barton are vinified in the same winery and share the same second wine: La Réserve de Léoville Barton.
This 2013 vintage is powerful without being solar like a 2003. Marked by the balance and finesse of its tannins, it develops intense fruity flavors highlighted by a very pleasant freshness. Precise and gourmet, the property even compares it to a 2010. A very great vintage !
Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Langoa Barton 2018 rated 92/100.
