Haut Médoc Grand Cru Classé

Château La Tour Carnet

2010

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

The year 1962 marked the renewal of Château la Tour Carnet, seeing it rise from its ashes under the impetus of its new owner: Louis Lipschitz, shipowner in Bordeaux. He will replant the vineyard, restore and enlarge the castle, thus giving back its letters of nobility to this illustrious Bordeaux estate. The estate was bought in 2000 by Bernard Magrez, who with the 311 hectares of his property became the happy owner of the largest of its 4 Grands Crus Classés.

This vintage 2010 is a great wine, tannic, almost oversized. It offers a dense purple color with notes of graphite, blueberries, black raspberries and spring flowers. The attack is offered on a heart of fruit, power, material in the mouth and a very muscular and masculine style. This 2010 vintage will require patience, but it could prove to be one of the best in Château La Tour Carnet ever produced.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château La Tour Carnet 2010 rated 93/100.
