Château Haut Marbuzet

Located between the Château Cos d’Estournel and the Château Montrose, the Château Haut-Marbuzet has 75 hectares in appellation Saint-Estèphe. Benefiting from a temperate oceanic climate due to its proximity to the estuary of the Gironde, the vineyard extends over a sublime terroir of grave mixed with limestone clay that allows the vine to draw water and nutrients it needs. Château Haut-Marbuzet is the pride of its owner, Henri Duboscq.

The high proportion of Merlot (40%) present in this 2016 vintage, gives it an exceptional mellowness, at the origin of the flattering designation of wine «le plus sensuel de Bordeaux» awarded by Robert Parker. Cut for a minimum of twenty years, this wine seduces by the intensity of its fragrance marked by notes of red fruits and other delicately woody that recall a mastered breeding. The wine is structured by fine tannins.
