Château Haut Goujon

Château Haut Goujon has a vineyard of 18 ha in Lalande-de-pomerol and Montagne-Saint-Emilion. The Garde family has been living there for four generations; the last is represented by Corinne, Mickaël and Vincent, who took over from their father Henri in 1995.

The 1999 vintage was born on a clay-gravel soil from 80% Merlot. It has a delicately tuilée color while on the nose, the aromas of red fruits and cedar and full-bodied tannins affirm a real youth despite the years. It develops in the mouth complex aromas of red fruits, on crushed cassis, and spicy notes of black pepper. A discreet woody finish gives it a perfect balance to this wine suitable for aging.
