Saint Julien Grand Cru Classé

Château Gruaud Larose

2011

Le Roi des Vins, le Vin des Rois.

The Château Gruaud Larose is a 2nd Grand Cru Classé of 1855 from Saint-Julien. Its terroir, its international reputation and its vineyard developed over generations, make it a castle worthy of the greatest. This property is a must in the Médoc and Saint-Julien !

Well in the tone of the appellation and house style, this 2011 vintage is an intense and elegant wine. On the nose, black and red fruits blend seamlessly with toasted bread, spices and vanilla. A soft and fresh attack introduces an ample, fleshy, long palate, powerful without excess, built on silky tannins, with very fine grain. A racy saint-julien, very balanced, built to age well.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Gruaud Larose 2011 rated 89/100.
