Château Giscours

Château Giscours, 3^rd Château Giscours, 3rd Grand Cru Classé 1855 and icon of the Médoc, offers a great wine reflecting the so famous terroir of Margaux.

After family and financial difficulties, the property was taken over by the Dutch businessman Eric Albada-Jelgersma in 1995. Since then, under the direction of the passionate Alexander Van Beek, this 3^rd Grand Cru Classé has regained its letters of nobility thanks to considerable work in the vineyard and in the cellar.

The 2006 vintage is a wine of rare elegance. Its robe is deep and shimmering ruby, revealing a complex and mesmerizing aromatic bouquet. It has aromas of black fruits, cassis, blackberries, liquorice notes, spices and a subtle woody touch. In the mouth, the wine is silky, with fine and velvety tannins, an elegant texture and a long persistent finish. This remarkable wine offers a perfect balance between freshness, intensity and concentration, and promises a remarkable evolution over several decades.
