Château Fayon

Caution : Since 2009, the red wines of the appellation Premières Côtes de Bordeaux are marketed under the name Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux. The AOC Premières Côtes de Bordeaux has since been reserved for soft white wines.

Developed by Valérie and Frédéric Mehaye, this wine has long enjoyed a real reputation. Colorful, full-bodied and powerful, typical of the Côtes wines, this one reveals fruity aromas and a charming roundness, legacy of the merlot, grape majority in the blends.  The dress is intense, dark, of a deep burgundy pulling on the black.
In its youth, this wine is marked by notes of red fruits, black berries (blackcurrant) and spices. At maturity, it becomes rounded, more suavity and suppleness, perfumes become complex and intense. Notes of cooked plums emerge, as well as tertiary aromas of venison. Toast, coffee, vanilla and cinnamon are the mark of the wood.
