The name Faurie de Souchard is the association of the locality Petit-Faurie and the name of one of the owner families, the de Souchard. This family distinguished itself in the parliament of Bordeaux and at the City Hall of Saint-Émilion during the 18th century. The year 1933 sees the Jabiol couple acquire the castle Petit Faurie de Souchard which remained in the family until 2013, when it was bought by the Château Dassault. The teams of Stéphane Derenencourt have resumed vinification.
This vintage 2998 develops a rather opulent but concentrated bouquet, with fragrances of black cherries and raspberry coulis. On the palate, the attack is structured with touches of tobacco. This wine reveals itself deep and offers a superbly structured finish.
