Château du Tertre

The Château du Tertre, has the particularity of holding, in one piece, 52 hectares of vineyards surrounded by a protective forest. The Château du Tertre is experiencing a new momentum since 1997, the year of its takeover by Eric Albada Jelgersma, a Dutch businessman already known in Margaux since he already owns Château Giscours.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (20%), this 2009 vintage has a beautiful dark red color. The nose is finely wooded and reveals scents of violet and plum. On the palate, the aromas are concentrated and evoke toasty or caramelized notes accompanied by cooked red fruits.
