The Doisy-Védrines castle was created after the division of the large estate of Doisy in 1846, just before the classification of 1855. Classified Second Cru Classé, it has a beautiful terroir on the limestone plateau of Barsac. In addition to the two Doisy, its other neighbors are named Climens and Coutet. Château Doisy Védrines has been managed since 2001 by Olivier Castéja who does a remarkable job.
Excellent liqueur with reduced production, this 2007 vintage needs a few years to purify and achieve great elegance. It has a nose of citrus and toasted. On the palate, a great creaminess dominates. It has a great potential for storage.
Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Doisy Védrines 2007 rated 93/100.
