Château de Sales

Located northwest of Pomerol, the Château de Sales is a historic property on the right bank of Bordeaux. The castle has belonged to the Lambert family for more than five centuries.

Château de Sales is a Pomerol wine from a vineyard of 47.60 hectares, the most important of the appellation.

The 1996 vintage has a nice purple colour. The nose is fine and complex, with aromas of black fruits and subtle woody notes. The attack is elegant and the mid-palate, fleshy and balanced, reveals a beautiful aromatic richness marked by ripe fruit aromas (blackcurrant, black cherry). The finish is long with fine and silky tannins. It is a great wine very recommendable !
