Château de Mercey – Antonin Rodet

Château de Mercey is a vineyard of 41 hectares located at the southern edge of the Côte de Beaune and surrounding an old house built in the 17^th century. The Domaine Antonin Rodet produces and distributes exclusively the wines of Château de Mercey. All the cuvées restore the unique character of the terroirs of southern Burgundy.

This 2008 vintage reveals a deep ruby color and exhales intense fragrances of berries: blackberries, blueberries, cranberries. It was tannic in its youth but thanks to aging, it has seen its aromas evolve towards leather and wild nuances of undergrowth and truffle and the tannins have softened. The aromatic persistence remains long with flavors reminiscent of grenadine.
