Château Croizet-Bages is a 5th Grand Cru Classé in 1855 of the Pauillac appellation. The 30-hectare vineyard is located on the famous plateau of Bages between Château Grand Puy Lacoste and Château Lynch-Bages. In 1942 it became the property of Paul Quié, also owner of the Châteaux Rauzan-Gassies and Bel Orme Tronquoy de Lalande. At the helm since 1968, his son Jean-Michel Quié and his children develop with passion and know-how wines known for their generosity and freshness.
This 2005 vintage surprises by the sweetness of its finish. It nevertheless contributes to the pleasure of the whole, marked by a bouquet with delicate notes of black fruits, leather and tobacco and by fresh and well-balanced tannins.
Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Croizet Bages 2005 rated 86/100.
