Château Coutet

Château Coutet is officially ranked among the First Grands Crus de Sauternes and Barsac. The terroir is there, in a golden triangle formed by the ocean, the river and the forest, crossed by the Ciron.   The wine is called “Coutet”, derived from the Gascon “knife” which evokes sharpness and vivacity, freshness and nervousness, a unique style.

Château Coutet, a high-ranking wine growing place in the heart of the Barsac and Sauternes appellations, has been producing incredible wines for more than 300 years. Since then, its prestige is indisputable, it is indeed very sought after and appreciated by all wine lovers.

This 2019 vintage is marked by notes of ginger, pear and exotic fruits. The palate is particularly fresh and lively, offering a wine with a very modern style. At the tasting, it shows itself immediately very racy. Tonic from end to end, it hides the opulence of its liqueur behind this evidence of fruit. A summit of purity, early harmony, natural !
