Pessac Léognan Grand Cru Classé

Château Couhins

2017

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Dry

The history of the property begins in the 17th century, making it one of the oldest vineyards in the Graves region. At that time, it consisted of two old wine estates: the Domaine de la Gravette and the Domaine du Pont de Langon which would soon form one to give birth to Château Couhins.

Thanks to INRAE, the Château Couhins, Grand Cru Classé of Graves, is saved at the last minute from disappearance with the aim of satisfying the needs expressed by all the services of the research center of Bordeaux, to have experimental fields near the research laboratories.

This 2017 vintage reveals a sumptuous straw yellow color, with some green highlights. The nose is fresh and fruity, very sauvignon, with pleasant notes of white flowers (acacia), blackcurrant leaves. The attack is very successful, all in roundness. It is a wine, fleshy, very balanced, with aromas of white fruits (brugnon) particularly greedy. A beautiful length is noted on the finish, with notes of vanilla and exotic fruits (mango).
