Sainte Croix du Mont

Château Copis

2001

Bottle (0,75L)
White
Sweet

The appellation Sainte-Croix-du-Mont is located in the southeast of Bordeaux. It is formed by steep hillsides overlooking the Garonne and facing Sauternes. An excellent gravel-limestone soil and a microclimate (humidity in the morning and heat in the afternoon) are favorable to the development of Botrytis Cinerea, the fungus of noble rot.

This 2001 vintage comes from a blend of Sémillon (majority), Sauvignon and Muscadelle. The winemaking method is identical to that of Sauternes wines. The dress is golden yellow, the bouquet offers notes of acacia honey and candied fruits.
