Built at the beginning of the 19th century, this castle was bought in 1962 by Hervé Duboscq, owner of the famous Haut Marbuzet castle. Chambert Marbuzet is vinified following the same practices as the latter and in the same premises. The wines are aged in three-year oak barrels for 18 months. They derive their originality from a clay-limestone soil and not in gravel like the other vineyards of the Saint Estèphe appellation.
This 1993 vintage shows great finesse and elegance. The estate was promoted to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur when the 1932 classification was revised in June 2003.
