Pessac Léognan Grand Cru Classé

Château Carbonnieux

2008

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Château Carbonnieux has the particularity of having a vineyard equitably divided between red and white grape varieties. In fact, during the classification of the wines of Graves of 1959, it was classified in red and white (it is one of the 6 castles of Bordeaux to be classified in both colors). Château Carbonnieux has made tremendous progress under the advice of Denis Dubourdieu.

Very elegant, this 2008 vintage, of a dense ruby-purple color, reveals exceptional purity in its deep notes of kirsch, cassis, undergrowth and herbs. It presents beautiful sweet tannins, succulent red and black fruits, a medium body and a long persistent finish.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Carbonnieux 2008 rated 90/100.
