Château Cantemerle

Classified Growth in 1855, Château Cantemerle extends its vineyard on plots of fine gravel bordering the estuary of the Gironde. The first traces of wine production date back to around 1350 on this estate which today belongs to the Insurance Group of Building and Public Works. The property is beautiful, as much for its park as for its buildings, and particularly neat in terms of viticulture.

This 2012 vintage is very elegant in its ruby color. This wine develops a beautiful bouquet that combines red fruits and a sweet woody with cocoa accents. A racy wood that is found in a tight and fleshy palate, supported by firm and tight tannins, still a little strict in the final. The wait is of course de rigueur…
