Saint Julien Grand Cru Classé

Château Branaire Ducru

2004

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the Château Branaire-Ducru is one of the great names of the Saint-Julien appellation. Owned by François-Xavier Maroteaux, the son of the late Patrick Maroteaux, and directed by Jean-Dominique Videau, Château Branaire-Ducru offers, vintage after vintage, a superb expression of this great terroir of the left bank of Bordeaux with wines recognized for their elegance, their velvety texture in the mouth and their regularity.

The aromatic complexity and purity of a Grand Cru de Saint-Julien full of taste and finesse.

This 2004 vintage offers complex notes of liquorice, cranberry, Boysen blackberry and flowers interspersed with notions of plums and figs. This elegant, powerful wine with a dark ruby-purple hue reveals a sweet fruit and ripe tannins.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Branaire Ducru 2004 rated 90/100.
