Château Bois Noir is part of the «Les Vignobles Grégoire» group. It is located in the Gironde in the Bordeaux vineyards north of Libourne. It produces red and white wines in Bordeaux Superior and Bordeaux appellation on an area of nearly 26 hectares. The encépagement consists of Merlot black, Muscadelle white, Sémillon white, Sauvignon white and Cabernet-Sauvignon black. The vines of the estate are cultivated according to the principles of reasoned viticulture. The estate is currently managed by Cyrille, the eldest of James Grégoire’s two sons.
This 2000 vintage offers a very fruity nose (blueberry in particular), with also empyreumatic notes. The palate is powerful, dense, with a tight but ripe tannic web and an honorable length. This wine has a very good storage potential.
