Rosé de Saignée
It was at the end of the 19th century that Charles Gardet, a fine merchant and adventurer for his time, founded the Maison Gardet in Épernay. In the 1930s, his son, Georges Gardet, continued the family tradition by moving to Chigny-les-Roses to develop the brand. The Prieux family, who have been working in the wine and tree-growing trades for several generations, are now the happy owners.
This 2012 vintage is a singular cuvée, made from Chigny-les-Roses Premier Cru vines. Composed of Pinot Noir (50%) and Meunier (50%), this Rosé de Saignée stands out for its power in red fruits and its silky velvety balance. It offers aromas of candied cherries, spices and small red fruits.
