Les Grandes Terrasses
Both producer and merchant, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet. It then passed into the hands of his sons Paul and Henry, before being passed down from generation to generation. In January 2006, the Frey family, winemaker from Champagne and owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the house Paul Jaboulet Aîné.
The cuvée Les Grandes Terrasses comes, as its name suggests, from very steep terraces supported by small walls and overlooking the Rhone Valley.
Cut for a guard that oscillates between five and fifteen years, this 2010 vintage reveals on the nose aromas of red and black fruits which evoke plum, blackcurrant and blackberry. Vegetal notes reminiscent of laurel, thyme and savory. Structured by well-affirmed tannins, this wine has been refined over time and its velvety texture makes it a ready-to-drink wine !
