Domaine Jean Pierre Brotte

The appellation benefits from a diverse terroir, one of whose geological specificities is the presence of large rolled pebbles that store the heat of the sun during the day to restore it at night. This phenomenon allows the grapes to reach a high degree of maturity. The appellation is also distinguished by the alliance of its thirteen grape varieties that each winemaker conjugates according to the personality he wishes to confer on his wine. Alongside the traditional Grenache, we find a growing proportion of Syrah and Mourvèdre, which develop complex aromas of red fruits, wood and fine leather.

This 1978 vintage reached its fullness with a magnificent ruby color. It is a structured wine, with a powerful and complex nose of ripe fruits, mushrooms, truffles, undergrowth, spicy notes, wild and animal.
