Cuvée 38 – La Réserve Perpétuelle

Champagne is essentially an art of blending. The selection of grape varieties, plots and crus composes for each cuvée a work that time prolongs and magnifies. To this already complex work, the Cuvée 38 adds a new element that marks its audacity: the blend of years.

Cuvée 38 was born in 1990 from the visionary inspiration of Joseph Henriot. He decided to bring together in a single vat the blend of four villages among the most prestigious of the Côte des Blancs in Grands Crus: Chouilly, Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Every year, the new harvest from these villages includes Cuvée 38, thus building a kind of great work of exceptional chardonnay, like a monument that stands stone after stone. But with Cuvée 38, the monument is endless since each year completes it without ever finishing it, in a gesture of perpetual creation.

1000 numbered magnums are marketed each year worldwide since 2015.
