Château Tourte des Graves

2002

Bottle (0,75L)

Dry

The Château Tourte des Graves is located in Toulenne, on the edge of the Sauternais, in the appellation Graves. Overlooking the Garonne valley, the house that presides over the vineyard of Château Tourte des Graves was built in 1673. The current owners, Mr and Mrs Arnaud acquired it in 1994. Childhood friend of Hubert Arnaud, Denis Dubourdieu the well-known professor of oenology in Bordeaux distils valuable advice in winemaking to obtain the best wines. Today, many specialists and tasters qualify the Château Tourte des Graves as one of the great wines of its appellation.

This 2002 vintage has a clear color with beautiful green reflections. Intense and fine, the bouquet goes from citrus (grapefruit) to blackcurrant bud before returning to passion fruits. Lively to the attack, the palate balanced and fat leaves the memory of a taste of orange peel mixed with some more mineral notes.
