Château Caronnes Sainte Gemme

The property was bought in 1900 by Emile Borie, grandfather of Jean Nony-Borie who has been managing it since 1943 with his nephew François Nony, for the succession. Neighbour of the Lagrange, Gruaud Larose, Belgrave and la Tour Carnet castles, the Château Caronne Sainte-Gemme is located on the outskirts of Saint Laurent du Médoc which adjoins Saint Julien. The vineyard has an area of 150 hectares, including 45 hectares of vines in one piece extending over a croup of deep graves.

On the assemblage side, there is 60% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% of Merlot and 3% of Petit Verdot. This 2015 vintage has an intense purple color, a delicate nose of blackberries, blueberries and pepper. In the mouth, there is a beautiful tannic texture perfectly balanced with the acidity and alcohol of the wine.
