Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé

Château Dassault

2015

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

In 1955, Marcel Dassault bought the old Château Couperie and completely renovated it to give birth to Château Dassault. Over the years, the wine has constantly improved allowing it to reach the rank of Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion in 1969. Michel Rolland will become the winemaker of the estate in 1973, and will further improve the quality of production, continuing the work already undertaken. Romain Depons now runs this property of 24 hectares of vines.

This wine offers a very beautiful expression of the 2015 vintage and great qualities of aging. Its colour is deep, its concentrated bouquet reveals a rich palette of aromas: very ripe berries, cherry with eau-de-vie and a discreet but complex wood with hints of grilled hazelnut, licorice and blond tobacco. Warm, soft and fresh at the same time, the mouth impresses with the power of its tannic structure. The promise of a lasting elegance.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Dassault 2015 rated 89/100.
