Domaine du Pavillon – Albert Bichot

2009

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

The trading house was born in Monthélie, in 1831, under the impetus of Bernard Bichot and will experience a rapid growth during the 19th century by becoming the official supplier of the Court of Sweden. Albert Bichot has taken over the reins of the company since 1996, perpetuating the family heritage with the right dose of modernity. Today, it manages more than 100 hectares of vineyards, spread from the north to the south of Burgundy, and grouped into 6 prestigious estates. Respect for the terroir, perfect control of vinifications, Albert Bichot wines are carriers of an emotion, a philosophy that make the House one of the greatest names in Burgundy.

The Domaine du Pavillon is located south of Pommard, in Côte de Beaune. In the heart of a walled enclosure, are gathered cuverie, cellar and 18th century mansion. The estate covers 19.5 hectares of vineyards.

Deep ruby red in colour, this 2009 vintage has a powerful and complex nose with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant wood and almond paste. Rich and very structured wine with well-present tannins. Beautiful balance and good length in the mouth.
