Pauillac Grand Cru Classé

Château Pichon Longueville

1999

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

The company Axa Millésimes acquired a beautiful sleeping bottle in 1987. An important renovation program of the Château Pichon-Longueville is then undertaken. The Cabernet Sauvignon reigns undisputed and is carefully maintained by the team of Jean-René Matignon, technical director of the estate. The wines are among the most famous of Pauillac, which makes it an indispensable reference for any lover of great bordeaux.

Opulent and charming under its deep red robe, this 1999 vintage is intense and of great purity. The nose combines fragrances of black fruits (blackberries, blueberries) with woody notes (cedar) and mineral (graphite). The palate is moderately full-bodied. It seduces with its refined structure and tight tannins. A silky and creamy touch stretches to a persistent and aromatic finish.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Pichon Longueville 1999 rated 91/100.
