La Comme
The best plots of Santenay are those north of the appellation, along the vineyards of Chassagne-Montrachet. South-east facing, the vines of the Premier Cru “La Comme” produce grapes that reach a perfect maturity. The name “La Comme” is the regional form of Combe, because the vineyard is in extension of the Combe de Saint-Aubin.
This 2008 vintage has a deep ruby color and reveals a nose with notes of red fruits, strawberries and liquorice. The palate is round, on fused tannins. Nice freshness in the finish.
