Colline de Couzou
This estate is located in the north of the Rhône Valley on the famous terroirs of the Côte Rôtie and Condrieu. It has the illustrious neighbours Jamet and Bonserine. This family estate sold its grapes to the merchant until 1990. From that date, it was taken over by the two brothers, Patrick and Christophe Bonnefond to make it one of the references of the appellation. Today the estate has 10 hectares of vines on the major terroirs of the Côte Rôtie and Condrieu but also in IGP of the Côtes Rhodaniennes. The two cultivated varieties are syrah for red wines and viognier for white wines.
This 2019 vintage is a deep purple. The nose is very rich, on spices, especially pepper, licorice and violet. The palate is more on black fruit, the tannins are tight and fine, which gives this wine a very good potential for aging. Very silky and elegant finish.
