Saint Julien Grand Cru Classé

Château Saint Pierre

2002

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Created in the 17th century, this 4th Grand Cru Classé was the result of several successions, fragmented and dispersed. By chance and tenacity, in 1982, Henri Martin was able to reconstruct the property as it was known in 1855, the year of the famous classification. Since then, and thanks to the investment of the owners, Saint-Pierre is recognized by all as being a representative of the Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Julien.

This 2002 vintage has a beautiful ruby color. On the nose, it reveals a fine bouquet with an intense aromatic palette dominated by notes of blueberries and blackcurrant or liquorice and tobacco. Despite strong tannins, this wine is refined, velvety and shows a beautiful density on the palate. Aromas of black fruits and a quality woody are evident. The finish is long and on the fruit. This wine has an exceptional ability to age with a remarkable aptitude for aging.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Saint Pierre 2002 rated 89/100.
