Les Griottiers – Organic wine

The Domaine Mas de la Séranne (named after the hills opposite) is located in Aniane (a very old wine village famous for its great winemakers) 30 km north-west of Montpellier. In 1998, Isabelle and Jean-Pierre Venture started with only 5 hectares and a harvest that they vinify the first years in their garage. But the passion of the vine and wine are there! Little by little, the estate expands by acquiring small plots. Currently, the area is about 16 hectares. The property extends over 3 different terroirs, which give the domain a beautiful typicity.

This 2020 vintage is marked by the sweetness of its tannins and intense fruit. This cuvée comes from a blend composed of Cinsault (25%), Mourvèdre (20%), Carignan (20%), Syrah (20%), Grenache (15%). It develops notes of ripe fruit and cherry with a pleasant silky and fruity side. It is adorned with a superb red purple color with violet reflections. The nose develops beautiful notes of strawberry and cherry jam. The palate is focused on finesse and freshness, then fruit and spices arrive to give gourmandise. The middle of the mouth is fleshy with a nice roundness to which is added a side licorice on this long finish.
