Château Lamothe Guignard

This Second Cru Classé in 1855 is located on one of the highest points of the town of Sauternes, it dominates the valley of the Ciron. A tormented fate made that this property, built in the 14th century, passed into many hands and was shattered into several pieces. The majority of the property was acquired in 1981 by two brothers, Philippe and Jacques Guignard, who were only about 20 years old at the time. Since then, they have developed a rigorous and quality approach. Thanks to their constant efforts, they have been able to give this vintage the reputation and place it deserves.

This 1997 vintage has an amber colour with golden and saffron-coloured chips. The nose is intense on candied fruit. The mouth is a seasoning, bringing aromas of quince paste and candied peach. This Sauternes du Château Lamothe Guignard presents a set of quality and long-term.
