Clos de l’Oratoire

Acquired in 1991 by Stephan Von Neipperg, also owner of Mondotte and Canon la Gaffelière, the vineyard of Clos de l’Oratoire is located on a clay-soillimestone on the top of the coast, and sandy-clay on the bottom. The property extends over 13 hectares, planted with merlot (80%) and cabernet franc (20%).

This 2002 vintage is a round and supple wine, very seductive by its powerful aromas of fruits and its beautiful deep purple robe. Merlot gives it both roundness and opulence while Cabernet Franc brings power, aromatic complexity and length in the mouth. The Clos de l’Oratoire is above all a great wine of guard.
