Léonce Récapet, born in 1858 in Branne, takes over the family liqueur factory before turning to the vine alongside his wife Emma Thibeaud, from a family of winemakers. Together, they develop several estates, including Château Bonnet. Their only daughter, Denise, married in 1923 François Lurton. From their union will be born four children: André, Lucien, Simone and Dominique — the pillars of the Lurton branch as we know it today.
Made from 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet-Sauvignon, this 2011 vintage delivers an expressive and complex bouquet of black fruits, spices, leather and undergrowth. A striking attack, intensely fruity and finely woody introduces a broad, dense, solid, generous palate. Beautiful promises for the future.
Silver Medal 2012 of the Concours de Bordeaux Vin d’Aquitaine.
