Clos Saint Anne

Founded in the Middle Ages around a hospice of the order of the Hospitallers and on the pilgrims’ route to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, the vineyard of Pomerol has crossed centuries to become today one of the most prestigious in the Bordeaux region, with an aura well-to-beyond our borders. Some of the most sought after castles in the world are found in this territory.

This vintage 1999 presents a beautiful intense and brilliant ruby color with slightly violaceous reflections. The nose is complex, intense and of great finesse, with a dominant ripe red fruit (cherry, plum). With age, it develops shades of truffle, leather, and undergrowth. If the attack is frank, the density in the mouth is exceptional, all in depth and elegance, with a powerful and round finish. It is a great wine for aging (it always improves 30 years after the vintage).
