The arrival of the Wertheimer family in 1994 marks an essential turning point in the recent history of the castle. Owners of the Maison Chanel, they bring a vision combining excellence, heritage preservation and measured innovation. Their philosophy is not limited to the acquisition of wine prestige, but is part of a broader approach to preserving exceptional know-how, comparable to their approach in haute couture. Since 2015, Nicolas Audebert has held the position of Managing Director of Château Rauzan-Ségla. He embodies the estate’s modern vision while preserving its historical heritage.

This very great vintage 1999 presents an intense aromatic bouquet, combining floral notes of iris flowers, notes of ripe black fruits like cherry or even notes of aromatics. The mouth is drawn with refinement and sophistication. The touch displays this characteristic signature of the great terroirs of Margaux, with a deliciously enveloping grain with a tasty and silky aromatic weft.
