Paul Jaboulet Aîné

1999

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Pierre Aiguille

Both producer and merchant, the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet. It then passed into the hands of his sons Paul and Henry, before being transmitted from generation to generation. In January 2006, the Frey family, winemaker from Champagne and owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the house Paul Jaboulet Aîné.

This 1999 vintage sports a red dress, enhanced with purple hues. It develops generous and complex aromas of game, red fruits (sour cherry) and vegetal aromas reminiscent of the southern scrubland. After all these years of aging, we find pronounced notes of game, humus and mushroom. An important tannic structure gives this wine an exceptional ability to age.
