Founded in 1797 by the Latour family, winemakers since the 17th century, the Maison Louis Latour is today, with its nearly 50 hectares of vineyards the largest wine estate in Burgundy. Combining ancestral know-how and innovation, the Maison Louis Latour has retained its style, recognizable among all others, which it draws in particular from its mastery of Chardonnay and Pinot noir.

The Grand Cru vineyard of Bâtard-Montrachet is located between the picturesque villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, place of production of the greatest wines in the world. This vineyard of 11.86 ha is separated from the large Montrachet by a narrow strip of land. This hill, facing east, is composed of a largely gravelly soil on a clay base, renowned worldwide for the expression of the fruit of Chardonnay.

This vintage 2004 is adorned with a brilliant dress, of pale gold color. The floral nose, expresses itself on notes of vanilla and smoked and toasted aromas. The full and generous mouth, offers pretty vanilla aromas, and notes of toasted almond and almond paste. Beautiful tension in the finish !
