Château Lalande Borie

Château Lalande-Borie was entirely created in 1970, by the purchase from a 3rd Grand Cru Classé of a plot of 30 hectares of land in the Saint-Julien appellation. The name “Lalande-Borie” is taken from the cadastral name of the parcel and the name of a large family of winegrowers, established in Médoc for more than a century, and owner of prestigious Crus: Ducru-Beaucaillou, Grand-Puy-Lacoste and Haut-Batailley. The vinification and ageing of Lalande-Borie wines are carried out with the same technique, the same care and the same spirit as those of the other estates of the Borie family.

Simple and well constituted, this 2004 vintage holds all its promises. Its color is brilliant red with a pale border, adorned with purplish reflections. Its bouquet, divided between the fruit and a fine woody, as well as its melted and enveloped tannins, allow it to be today at its optimum.
