Les Champonnets

After 10 years on the family estate founded by her grandfather Jan, a Polish immigrant who acquired some vines in Gevrey in the 1930s, Florence Heresztyn decided to fly with her companion Simon Mazzini, Champagne winegrower of the Montagne de Reims. Since 2012, they have been operating 6 ha of vineyards between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny.

This 1999 vintage reveals a charming cherry red color and offers pure aromas of ripe blackcurrants, plums and raspberries. The palate has a refined texture, soft and evolved tannins, a good depth of ripe fruit, with subtle notes of liquorice and spices leading to a persistent finish.
