Margaux Grand Cru Classé

Château Lascombes

2008

Bottle (0,75L)
Red
Dry

Château Lascombes owes its name to that of its first owner, Chevalier Antoine de Lascombes (born in 1625). The vineyard of Lascombes, one of the largest areas in the Médoc, is divided into about forty plots spread throughout the appellation. Very popular on the Anglo-Saxon market, Château Lascombes wines are particularly present on the US market (40% of sales), where they are ambassadors for French wines.

This 2008 vintage has an intense and brilliant purple color. Nose of black fruits with brandy, subtly toasted, licorice with a hint of vanilla and aromas of cocoa beans. The attack, flexible, is followed by a velvety mouth, creamy and beautifully concentrated. The always very dominant fruity is embellished with a discreet woody that delicately wraps the elegant tannic texture of the wine.

Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate – Château Lascombes 2008 rated 93/100.
