Domaine Françoise Jeanniard

Françoise Jeanniard embodies the 5th generation at the head of a confidential family estate of only 2.88 ha. Located in Côte de Beaune, in Pernand-Vergelesse, it has plots within this same commune and within Aloxe-Corton. After having studied at a Wine High School and at the University of Vine and Wine, she made her first vintage in 2002 with the ambition to always respect her terroir and to produce the most natural wine possible. That’s why the farming methods are reasonable, the soils tilled and the weedkillers banned. The lunar calendar is respected, particularly for the winter pruning.

This 2021 vintage reveals a pretty ruby dress tinged with purple hues. From this one escapes a delicate bouquet marked by small red berries (gooseberry, raspberry), violet, sweet spices and some empyreumatic notes. Powerful, structured by tannins that only ask to be softened with at least five to ten years of rest in the cellar.
